First training in Tunisia (18-21 March 2013)

This first training in Tunisia was dedicated to the legal framework for Freedom of expression.

The training brought together 25 participants from all around Tunisia for 4 days of training in Tunis. Four professional trainers addressed numerous topics related to Freedom of Expression.

Specific sessions dealt with international law and mechanisms to protect Freedom of Expression, while others tackled the situation in Tunisia. A representative from UNESCO presented their report on the Media sector in Tunisia.

A member of FMAS, Moroccan partner of the project, contributed to the training with a presentation of the Free Media World Forum, a movement dedicated to bring together and strengthen grassroots independent media from all around the world.

Trainers also used interactive teaching methods.

Participants discussed in working groups the issues of the training.
